CARNELIA

Located in Ain Sokhna, within Egypt's Galala area and approximately an hour and a half from New Cairo, Carnelia is a large-scale coastal development shaped by the dramatic encounter between the mountains and the Red Sea.

Extending across more than 100 feddans, the site rises from sea level to approximately 160 meters in elevation. Rather than treating this complex topography as a constraint, CREATO used it as the foundation of the architectural concept.

The project is conceived as a sequence of low, horizontal and stepped volumes that respond to the natural contours of the mountain. As the architecture rises with the terrain, generous terraces, large openings and carefully positioned volumes preserve a strong visual relationship with the Red Sea while creating privacy between the different levels of the development.

A restrained architectural language emphasizes horizontality and allows the buildings to integrate naturally into the landscape. Architecture, water, vegetation and open space are conceived as part of a continuous environment, creating a resort experience in which the built form never competes with its extraordinary setting.

Today, Carnelia is taking physical form. With construction at an advanced stage and earlier phases receiving a strong commercial response, the project is evolving from the original architectural vision into a significant destination on Egypt's Red Sea coast.

For CREATO, Carnelia represents an approach to architecture in which complexity becomes opportunity — transforming topography, views and landscape into the defining identity of the project.
